Museum

Here is the museum, a collection of my various designs throughout the years. This page is currently a work-in-progress. I have much more to add.

  • Ole Smokey

2014. Work moved me to California and I began smoking soon after. Eventually I realized I needed a pipe and elected to make my own because I thought everything at the local smoke shop looked weird. This is the first mason jar pipe I ever made. I was very proud of it at the time. Function wise, nothing special. But it was mine!

  • Bikini Bottom

2014. My pipe making became more ambitious. I cut the bottom off this Kraken bottle, inserted some stuff from the pet store aquarium isle, and then resealed the jar. Function wise, hits from this pipe are cruel. But it is satisfying to watch Bikini Bottom fill with fog. I shared pictures of this pipe to reddit and to my surprise a large number of people wanted to buy it. I tried producing more but found I couldn't consistently cut the bottles without accidently causing large undesirable cracks to form up the side. I quickly realized this design didn't scale, but it did show me there was a market for my work.

  • Steam Machine v1

2015. I decided I was going to sell bongs online and came up with this. Smoke travels down the downstem, bubbles up through the ice bath, enters the top of the copper coil, spirals down through the ice bath, and then finally goes up the upstem and out the mouthpiece. All this cooling delivers icy smooth hits. The internet had never seen anything like it and I sold 14 of these pipes on day one. Profits were used to buy my first 3D printer.

  • Stoned Mason v1

2015. Whereas the Steam Machine explored the idea of smooth hits via maximum cold, the Stoned Mason explored the idea of maximum percolation. Smoke travels to the bottom of the jar via the downstem and then percolates upward through a half-gallon of glass stones. The stones do a fantastic job of cooling the smoke and watching them work is visually satisfying.

  • Cabernet Sauvigbong

2015. Mason jars were fun, but what could I do with a wine bottle? I made the Cabernet Savigbong, a kit that could turn any wine bottle into a pipe.

  • Steam Machine v2

2016. The Steam Machine had evolved a few times over. I sent one of these to Silenced Hippie and another to Dabbing Granny. By their powers combined, the pipe went viral. Overwhelmed with orders, I quit my day job and began making pipes full time.

  • Stoned Mason v2

2016. I realized the Stoned Mason was a plenty good pipe even without the stones. The Stoned Mason thus became stoneless. I added a lighter-holding magnet to the lid.
